Our Story
Founded in Canada by Rev. Dr. John Tweedie in 1997, Christians for Israel (C4i) is a registered Canadian charity (with a sister branch called C4i America) committed to raising biblical awareness of God's plans and purposes for Israel.
Born and raised in Northern Ireland, Dr. Tweedie emigrated to Canada in 1967, where he subsequently dedicated his life to Christ and began formal studies with the goal of serving the Church as an ordained minister.
However, as Dr. Tweedie began serious study of the Holy Scriptures, he began to understand that the story of Israel, according to the biblical account, was that of a very special nation God had established, one specifically chosen to reflect His ethical and moral standards in the world. In 1997, Dr. Tweedie helped establish C4i’s Canadian branch, now a registered charity dedicated to presenting a biblical perspective of God's plans and purposes for Israel and the Church.
C4i actively promotes awareness and understanding of Israel’s biblical significance through media, education, and advocacy. Our award-winning television series, The Prophetic Connection, has a global reach through multiple network partners; our growing list of ministry resources are designed to equip the Church and nations with a prophetic and biblical worldview of Israel’s place among the nations.
Our media outreach is currently expanding into the10/40 Window - covering nations across the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, and Europe - with the goal of reaching formally unreached communities with Gospel content. Additionally, we have launched radio programs across North America to further strengthen biblical education and support for Israel.
Dr. Tweedie’s passion extends beyond media. He leads solidarity tours to Israel and advocates globally, emphasizing that support for Israel is a divine summons. His life’s mission is to see God's truth proclaimed so that more congregations and nations will begin to support and bless Israel.
